UCI Equipment Regulation Update - Time Trial Bike Set Up

Effective from 1 January 2014 the UCI have amended the rulings and interpretations of Time Trial bike set up. 

There is no longer a requirement for morphological testing for exemption:

  1. A rider may chose to have either their seat tip within 5cm behind the centre of the bottom bracket OR
  2. The time trial bar end* up to a maximum of 80cm in front of the centre of the bottom bracket.
  3. The TT bars must be set up so as the riders forearms are in a horizontal position
  4. The highest and lowest points of the TT bar must not exceed a distance of 10cm
* The measuring point for the TT bar end is the tip of the gear lever in a horizontal forward position for both a manual and automatic gear shifter, the tip of the button for electronic shifters.
